Stillock is an app blocker for iPhone and iPad. It is made by Yagiz Ada Umur, an independent developer in Türkiye, and it does one thing: it keeps the apps you choose blocked for as long as you decided, with nothing leaving your device.
Why Stillock exists
Most of us know which apps pull us away. The problem is not knowing; it is the moment itself, when a limit is one tap from being ignored. Stillock moves the decision to a calm moment. You pick the apps, choose how long, and start. In strict mode the session cannot be ended early, and with Tag to unlock the only way out is to walk to the NFC tag you keep in another room.
Everything else in the app follows from that idea: schedules that start on their own, daily limits that hold until midnight, Pomodoro cycles, and a streak that forgives one missed day a week, so a bad day does not undo a good month.
How it is built
- Blocking is done by iOS. Stillock uses Apple's Screen Time framework. iOS hands the app the apps you pick as encrypted tokens, so neither the app nor we can see which apps you blocked, what you browse or what you write.
- No account, no servers. There is nothing to sign up for. The app makes no network connections of its own; buying Pro goes through Apple.
- No analytics, no ads, no tracking. The App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected". This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics either; see the privacy policy.
- Made for iPhone and iPad. Layouts for iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo, in 16 languages.
A short history
The app launched in 2026 under the name FlowState. In October 2026 it was renamed Stillock, with a redesign built from scratch. It is the same app from the same developer on the same App Store page; only the name changed. Version 2.2 added free focus challenges, starting with No-Scroll November.
Free and Pro
Stillock is free to download. The free version includes unlimited focus sessions, one block group, Pomodoro, challenges, your day streak and one "5 more minutes" a day. Stillock Pro adds more block groups, schedules and strict schedules, daily limits, strict mode, Tag to unlock, insights and more. Pro is sold as a subscription through the App Store; the yearly plan starts with a free trial. The full terms are in the terms of use.
