No-Scroll November is a free challenge in Stillock, the app blocker for iPhone and iPad. From November 7 to 30, 2026, you block the apps you scroll most and focus for 25 minutes or more on 15 of those days. You join from the Now tab, a paper-style calendar marks each day you reach the goal, and a stamp appears on your You tab when you finish.

What No-Scroll November is

Challenges arrived in Stillock 2.2. Each one has set dates and a daily goal, and challenges are free: you don't need Pro to take part. No-Scroll November is the first.

A focus session blocks your chosen apps for its whole length, so each day you reach the goal gives you at least 25 minutes without the feed one tap away. If Screen Time limits never stuck because Ignore Limit is always there, a goal you track on a calendar is a different kind of nudge.

How to join No-Scroll November in Stillock

  1. Install Stillock on your iPhone or iPad (iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 or later) and allow Screen Time access when iOS asks.
  2. Open the Now tab and join No-Scroll November.
  3. Create a block group with your scroll apps, the ones you open without deciding to. The free version includes one block group. Leave out anything you might need in an emergency, such as messaging, maps, health and sign-in apps.
  4. Once a day, focus for 25 minutes or more with that group. Sessions add up across the day: two 15-minute sessions count, the focus rounds of a Pomodoro count (the breaks don't), and the minutes you focused before ending a session early count too. Only focus sessions count; time blocked by a schedule or a daily limit doesn't. A session that runs past midnight is split between the two days.
  5. Watch the calendar fill in. When you finish, a stamp appears on the You tab.

Focus sessions are unlimited in the free version, so the challenge costs nothing. More on setting up blocks: how to block apps on iPhone for yourself.

A simple daily routine for the challenge

The easiest way to reach 15 days is to attach the session to something you already do every day.

  • Pick one anchor. After breakfast, on the train or right after dinner.
  • Start without passing a feed. Ask Siri or run a Shortcut to start the session.
  • Put the phone somewhere else. The countdown shows on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, so you can check the time without unlocking.
  • Give the 25 minutes a job. Read, walk, cook, study or call someone.
  • Treat "5 more minutes" as a spare. The free version gives you one a day if you really need an app during a session.

If evenings are your hardest time, make that your session time. With Pro, a schedule can block the same group every night as well.

What the challenge is not

  • It is not a medical program. It is a habit exercise, not a treatment. If scrolling feels out of your control or is hurting your sleep, mood or work, talk to a doctor or a mental health professional.
  • It is not all or nothing. Missing a day is fine: you need 15 days, not 24. The challenge has no forgiven days of its own; it simply counts the days you reach the goal. Your day streak is a separate thing, and with streak protection in Pro it survives one missed day a week.
  • It is not a phone ban. Only the apps in your block group are blocked, and only during your sessions.

Limitation: Stillock blocks apps through Apple's Screen Time, and iOS always lets you turn off that access in Settings or delete the app. The challenge works because you made a deal with yourself, not because leaving is impossible.

After November: New Year Focus Reset

The next challenge, New Year Focus Reset, runs from January 1 to 31, 2027, with a goal of 20 days. It appears on the Now tab when it starts.

FAQ

When is No-Scroll November 2026?

It runs from November 7 to 30, 2026. The goal is to focus for 25 minutes or more on 15 of those 24 days.

Is No-Scroll November free?

Yes. Challenges are free in Stillock 2.2 and later, and focus sessions are unlimited in the free version, so you can finish without Pro.

What happens if I miss a day?

Nothing is lost. You need 15 days out of 24, so you can miss up to nine days and still finish the challenge.

Can I still join after November 7?

Yes, right up to the last day, but the days before you joined don't count, and on the day you join only the focus after that moment counts. There are exactly 15 days from November 16 to 30, so November 16 is the last day you can join and still earn the stamp, and only if you reach the goal on every remaining day. Leaving the challenge and rejoining starts your progress over.
